  • Check the lights on the printer’s Ethernet port and verify if your printer is connected via a wired connection. If your printer is connected via a wireless connection, then make sure that the wireless feature is on. The wireless icon will be found on the printer’s control panel, check if the light is on and not blinking.
  • Turn on the web services. Make sure that this is on at all times to use HP ePrint. The printer firmware should be up to date. If the printer firmware is not updated, HP ePrint might not work. On the printer’s operation panel check if there are any blinking lights or error messages. Make sure that your computer and printer are connected to a network.

  • The connection to the Embedded Web Server might be lost after clicking Apply. Print a new Network Configuration report from your printer to get an updated IP address.   • In the Properties window select the Ports tab and then click Add Port. Choose Standard TCP/IP Port and then select New Port. Enter the printer’s IP address and then press Next.   • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Reboot your computer and wait for 60 seconds.   • First, make sure the printer is powered on. If it is off, turn to the back and press the power switch to turn on the printer. The green power light on the printer will light up when the printer is on. On your computer, click the Windows icon and click Devices and Printers.   • Select the Source Is drop-down menu and choose the Auto Select option. Press the OK button to apply the changes.   • Remove paper from the input tray. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord. Remove the cartridge from the printer and cover it with a sheet of paper. Find the pickup roller on the bottom of the printer. Release the small tabs on the roller and gently pull out the roller from the carriage.
  • Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth and scrub the roller with the cloth to loosen the dirt. Use a dry cloth to remove the loosened dirt from the roller. Allow the pickup roller to dry for 1-2 minutes before you reinstall it in the printer. Position the pickup roller in its original slot.
  • Reinstall the cartridge and close the print cartridge door. Turn to the back and reconnect the power cord. Press the Power Switch to turn on the printer. Load paper into the input tray and try to print a sample document. If the page prints successfully, the issue is resolved. If the problem persists, then service the printer.

  • Remove any paper debris or loose paper from the main input tray, output bin and the priority feed slot (slot located just above the main input tray). Turn the printer to the back.   • Look inside the printer for the print cartridge. Using the handle in the middle of the cartridge, remove the cartridge from the printer.   • Once all the paper is removed, you can reinsert the cartridge back into the printer. Close the print cartridge door. Finally, load the paper into the input tray until it stops.
